AUTOCROSS

2003 – NAMSA also conducted the first ever Autocross in Nagaland. Despite lack of publicity, funds, sponsors, and other teething problems, the event was well received and ended on a positive note.

2010 – NAMSA also conducted the 2nd NAMSA Autocross in Nagaland. The event was a success and had participation from well know riders and drivers from all over the Northeast and some from mainland India.

2011 – NAMSA also conducted the 2nd NAMSA Autocross in Nagaland and as with the previous edition was well attended by many enthusiastic riders and drivers from all over the region.

2012 – NAMSA also conducted the JK MAX Throttle Autocross in Nagaland. The event was a resounding success and saw participation from all parts of the country.

 

WORLD TOURISM DAY RALLY

2010: The NAMSA was part of the organizing committee of the World Tourism Day rally to Manas and Bhutan. The association contributed towards officiating and participation of this rally which was a first of its kind in the region.

2011: A record 20 participants took part in the Motor Rally to mark the World Tourism Day, organized by the Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland.

The Motor rally was organized to celebrate the Land of Festivals with the Drive of the Year, on the occasion of the World Tourism Day and also to spread the message of tourism’s role in linking together the Cultures of the World through Travel.

2012: A 2nd Edition Motor Rally was held in 2012 to mark the World Tourism Day, organized by the Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland.

This World Tourism Day motor rally was routed through the scenic tourism circuit of Kohima and traversed through some of the most beautiful and iconic locations of the district. The highlight of the tour was a programme that was held at Tuophema Tourist Village. The rally culminated at The Heritage, Kohima with an evening programme of music and culture.

The rally attracted local, national and foreign participation and was a great success.

 

GO KARTING

The Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) in collaboration with JK Tyre held the JK Advanced Driving Academy Go-karting Clinic & selection on 30th & 31st at Highway 39 go-karting, Padamphukri, Dimapur where more than 50 participants took part. There were divided into 3 categories (B2 11-13 yrs),(B3 14-17 yrs) and (B3 14-17 yrs).

 

The selected motorsport enthusiasts was trained by JK Tyre and MECO Motorsport at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and had participated in JK Tyre Indian National Rotax Championship. The selected participant were trained for 3 full-fledged training programmes with MECO Motorsport under the supervision of Akbar Ebrahim, Head, MECO Motorsport and Karting Consultant, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd.

The initiative was supported by Government of Nagaland.

 

WW-II PEACE RALLY

The Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) in collaboration with state’s tourism department has been successfully conducting the World War II Peace Rally. World War II Peace Rally is held during the Hornbill Festival to commemorate the Battle of Kohima and also to promote peace and unity.

This rally has turned out to be a major attraction during the annual Hornbill Festival and has had many enthusiastic participants over the years with teams  coming not only from far off states but also from foreign countries.

The WW-II Peace Rally has been held successfully and continuously since its inception in 2010 till date.

INDIA MYANMAR FRIENDSHIP CAR RALLY 2012

Over 60 participants from India and 4 participants from Myanmar participated in the car rally with 17 cars. The participants were from various fields of profession including senior government officials, entrepreneurs, businessmen, adventure sports, motorsports, media, educationists, artists, advocates etc. The car rally covered some of the most remote areas and spectacular places in the Northeast and Myanmar. The rally aimed to foster bilateral relations in culture, tourism and trade between the two neighboring countries. The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry Home Affairs, Government of India, and Governments of the Indian states of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland supported the rally.

The Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) provided organizational, logistical and technical support to the Nagaland stage of the rally.

INDIA, MYANMAR AND THAILAND FRIENDSHIP MOTOR CAR RALLY, 2016

The rally was held to improve connectivity by road in the South-East Asian region and to sensitize the people about the fact that an all-weather road , connecting New Delhi and Bangkok would soon be operational .

The rally caravan covered a distance of 5,722 KMs along the IMT Trilateral Highway with about 80 participants from all the three countries, in 20 Indian made vehicles on a journey from Delhi to Bangkok over 19 days.

The Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) participated with an official four man team and also provided organizational, logistical and technical support to the Nagaland stage of the rally.

 

HORNBILL MOTOR RALLY

In 2007 – NAMSA organised its first 1st Hornbill Motor Rally (Stage) in the year 2007. The Rally was supported and sponsored by the Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre.

2008 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2008 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 4th & 5th of December 2008.

2009 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2009 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 4th & 5th of December 2009.

2010 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2010 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 2nd & 4th of December 2010.

2011 – The Hornbill International Motor Rally 2011 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 1st & 3rd of December 2011.

2012 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2012 (TSD) which was round of the FMSCI TSD Championship was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 5th & 6th of December 2012.

2013 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2013 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 3rd & 4th of December 2013.

2014 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2014 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 4th & 5th of December 2014.

2018 – The Hornbill Motor Rally 2018 (TSD) was organized by Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA), which was supported & sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre. It was held on the 2nd & 3rd of December 2018.

 

HORNBILL OFFROAD CHALLENGE

2018 – The 1st Hornbill Off-Road was organized by the Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) which was supported by the Government of Nagaland, JK Tyre and Association of Offroaders (AON). It was held on 4th December in the hills and river beds of Southern Angami area.
