(Motor Rally, Autocross & WW II Vintage Rally)

The 2011 edition of the Hornbill International Motor Rally will be held from the 1st to 3rd of December. The International Motor Rally and Autocross organized by the Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) is sponsored by the Government of Nagaland and JK Tyre.

The Motor Rally is also supported by Federation of Adventure & Motor Sports Association of North East (FAMSANE). The Hornbill International Motor Rally will be held under License from the Federation of Motor Sports Council of India (FMSCI).

All the North Eastern States including Sikkim are expected to compete in the Motor Rally. Teams from Bhutan will also participate. Besides these, some other International participants have also consented to compete in the motor rally.

Last date of entry for the rally will be 25th Nov. 2011 and Documentation, Scrutiny & Drivers briefing will be on 1st Dec. 2011. The International Motor Rally will be flagged off on the 2nd of December from Indira Gandhi Stadium and on 3rd December the Autocross & Prize Distribution will take place.

WW II Vintage Rally will be held on the 5th of December. It is also organized by NAMSA in collaboration with the Tourism Department, Government of Nagaland.

The total prize money for the events will be 5 lakhs.

World Tourism Day Motor Rally 2011 A record 20 participants took part in the Motor Rally to mark the World Tourism Day, organized by the Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland.

The Motor rally was organized to celebrate the Land of Festivals with the Drive of the Year, on the occasion of the World Tourism Day and also to spread the message of tourism’s role in linking together the Cultures of the World through Travel.
